Responsible Gambling
If gambling stops being fun, stop and get support early. This page explains practical ways to stay in control and where to get help in Canada.
Staying in control
- Set a budget: only spend what you can afford to lose. Keep gambling money separate from bills and savings.
- Set a time limit: decide when you will stop; use alarms and take regular breaks.
- Avoid chasing losses: increasing stakes to “win it back” can quickly increase harm.
- Play with a clear head: avoid gambling when stressed, upset, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
- Track your play: review your activity and spending regularly, and reduce or pause if it’s escalating.
Time & spending controls
Helpful controls include:
- Deposit/spend limits (daily/weekly/monthly)
- Session time limits and reminders
- Cooling-off breaks (short pauses)
- Permanent closure if you want to stop completely
Self-exclusion (account block)
- Choose a period you want to be blocked (e.g., weeks/months/indefinitely).
- Email contact@polargamingclub.com from your registered address with “Self-exclusion request”.
- Include your account identifier (username/email) and any preferences (cooling-off vs permanent closure).
- We’ll confirm once the restriction is applied and explain what access is blocked.
